TPA Poland has assumed patronage of the 7th edition of the Wadowice Junior Jazz Festival, to be held June 5-9 this year. As a patron of the event, TPA Poland will fund one of the winners of the competition, organized as part of this year’s festival, a scholarship covering the cost of participation in the Berklee Summer Program at the prestigious Berklee College of Music – Valencia Campus in Spain.

The Junior Jazz Festival in Wadowice is a cyclical musical event and competition aimed at promoting young musicians playing jazz and its derivatives, as well as improving their musical skills. The event is organized by the Bronislaw Chromy Foundation, which is also supported by: Yamaha Music School Wadowice, the First and Second Degree Music School in Wadowice, the City of Wadowice, the Wadowice Cultural Center and the Full Culture Foundation. This year, TPA Poland and Baker Tilly Legal Poland have assumed patronage of the event.

For seven years now, the Festival has encouraged active participation in culture and learning about jazz, not only by the workshop participants themselves, but also by the audience, including residents of the region. From the beginning, our goal has been to support the youngest musicians in promoting their creativity and talent and gaining new musical experience, so that they can influence the development of jazz in Poland in the future. We are glad that we have this opportunity and that our efforts in this area are also supported by other entities, including representatives of business, for whom the development of music is also one of the areas they want to bestow their attention. – says Festival Director Krzysztof Odrobina.

In 2024, TPA Poland, a patron of the event, is funding a scholarship for one of the winners of the competition, who will be selected by the competition jury on June 7 this year. The scholarship will cover the cost of attending a summer program at Berklee College of Music in Valencia, one of the most prestigious educational institutions in the field of music, which attracts young students from all over the world enabling them to develop their skills and collaborate with exceptional artists from around the world.

Music is one of those areas of human existence that leaves few people indifferent. In TPA Poland almost all of us listen to at least one genre of music, exchange musical experiences and concert experiences. Some of us play an instrument or sing. When Tomasz Hatylak, one of the co-organizers of the Junior Jazz Festival, who, in addition to his professional activities in the field of law and taxes, is all immersed in jazz music, joined our partners, we immediately jumped at the unique opportunity to support this initiative. We are excited to be involved in the Wadowice project to support artists in the first stages of their musical development. I am delighted that we will be able to do this in such a practical and tangible way, which is to make it possible for them to participate in the summer program of the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Valencia. I’m keeping my fingers firmly crossed for the winner, who will win the prize we are funding, and we will certainly make efforts to promote his work. – says Wojciech Sztuba, Managing Partner at TPA Poland and a jazz enthusiast.

We will find out who will be the winner of the prize funded by TPA Poland on June 7.
