The 12th edition of the CEE Investment Awards is behind us. On October 27, awards were presented to the region’s top companies for their achievements in commercial real estate. It is a great honor that once again the team of experts from TPA Poland and Baker Tilly TPA has received an honorable mention in the Tax & Financial Advisor category.
“The real estate industry and the advisory services dedicated to it have been one of our company’s main business lines for many years. We have a fantastic team with the necessary knowledge and experience, which we are successively expanding, completing more than a dozen projects a year for our real estate clients. Moreover, the projects we are involved in are carried out both in Poland and abroad, which means that our comprehensive knowledge is not limited to the Polish market and regulations. Our clients can count on the full professionalism and comprehensiveness of our services, which is a guarantee of correct tax settlements. It is also important that the scope of our support is tailored to each client individually and can involve handling an entire project or only selected stages of it. That’s why the distinction in the EuropaProperty CEE Investment Awards is special for us, because it confirms that clients are satisfied with our level of service and appreciate our commitment to advising them,” commented Małgorzata Dankowska, Partner in charge of the real estate advisory team and the Warsaw tax practice of TPA Poland.
It should also be noted that recent months have been and continue to be exceptional for our customers. We are all operating in a tougher environment, as we are dealing with inflation unprecedented in 20 years, galloping interest rate increases, or unbelievable rises in energy and gas prices These are elements that have an extremely high impact on the real estate industry, so it is all the more important to provide precise and tailored advisory services to the sector.
“The geopolitical situation related to the war in Ukraine, but above all, the uneasy economic situation, means that companies operating in the real estate market have to modify their original assumptions, be it in terms of investing or sales. A precise analysis of the risks of a given transaction is key to making the right decisions. If we add to this the confusion with new legal regulations, such as those introduced under the Polish Deal, it seems that no entity, not only in the real estate industry, will decide to act alone. A good advisor – especially one who combines financial and tax expertise – is worth their weight in gold. This was probably one of the factors that had an impact on the fact that we were awarded at EuropaProperty CEE Investment Awards ,” added Krzysztof Dziekoński, Partner, Audit Department, Baker Tilly TPA.
As a confirmation of our successes in the area of advisory services to the real estate industry, it is worth mentioning several projects we have completed, such as Eastnine AB’s acquisition of the Nowy Rynek D building in Poznan for EUR 121 million, the purchase of the BWI Group’s research and development center in Balice by the Czech REICO ČS LONG LEASE fund (the transaction was worth more than EUR 27 million), or the acquisition of the Mokotów Plaza office building in Warsaw by FLE SICAV.
EuropaProperty CEE Investment Awards is one of the most important and valuable real estate events in Central and Eastern Europe. The main awards gala aimed to honor the region’s top companies for their achievements in commercial real estate. The event focuses on the investment market, with awards for the best investors, investors/developers, bankers, projects and other service companies operating in the industry.
An independent jury conducted the process of selecting nominations in each award category. Jury members are experienced real estate professionals and come from every commercial real estate sector in the region.
