Staromiejska 13 a is a renovated and modern old building in the centre of Katowice which, at the end of 2016, became the new TPA Poland office location in Katowice. This project combines the intimate historic architecture of the Old Market Square with innovative and modern business solutions. The building features bright interiors, a high finishing standard, large windows and glazing, and a beautiful rooftop terrace with a view of the city.
The investment is located in the place of the old Steam Mill, the design work for which the design works began in 1890. The mill operated as such until the 1930s. After the Second World War it merely functioned as a warehouse.
New construction and renovation work led to the creation of an intimate five storey office building with a total useable floor space of approximately 2 thousand square metres. Without a doubt, it can be distinguished from other buildings due to the fact that it is a so-called green building that complies with LEED requirements. It is the second office building in the city that features trigeneration – a futuristic installation that generates electricity, heat, and cooling on site.
Why Staromiejska?
It was no accident that we chose Staromiejska. We wanted for the change in the location of our office to correspond to many positive aspects related to work productivity – in regard to its use, comfort, and being a representative location, as well as, what is equally important, being more convenient for our clients due to its location in the very centre of Katowice – summarises the change in the office location Wojciech Sztuba, Managing Partner at TPA Poland.
The building will also house the offices of a foundation dealing with public spaces in cities, a law firm, two large institutions, and a restaurant will soon be opened on the ground floor.
